The Chapter was originally founded to cater for the people from Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria, but it gradually morphed into a premier humanitarian organization dedicated to helping people throughout the United States, Nigeria and the Caribbean. It also functions in association with the global Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, USA Inc. We depend on many generous contributions of time and money from its members and the American people.
